In this drawing "Format," I stopped halfway before it became "Form." Most everything I said in my commentary about "Form" applies to "Format" except for one thing. More than "Form" or "Foam," I want "Format" to highlight the idea of nothingness. What came before the four ancient Greek primordial forces? The Greeks don't comment on what made these four elements or where they came from. The black field of "Format" attempts to highlight this idea and question that no one can answer: what preceded and created the four ancient Greek primeval forces/elements of "Chaos," "Gaia," "Tartaros," and "Eros?"
